If you want some serious mpreg, like...heats, knotting, pregnancy from start to finish, explained in a lot of detail, then this is the book for you!Liam and Mason are wolf shifters, and they live in a world where humans and shifters live together. The shifters must shift on a full moon, and I like that they don't have fated mates, so they can pick who they want to mate with.
Although Liam and Mason work in the same building and are already secretly attracted to the other, the story starts off with them meeting when Liam is recovering from a heat suppressant sickness/imbalance. When Mason smells Liam, he knows he has to have him. I will say that these two had some wonderfully hot chemistry together. They were sweet, sensual, and although things moved at lightning-fast speeds, it kinda worked for them.
The main source of any angst, is Liam's insecurities about how committed Mason will be to him and their pups, and a bump in the road from a female wolf. Nothing major, this story really is all sweetness and the progression of pregnancy. If you want something with minimal angst and some serious mpreg and lots of sex, then give this a try.

I have read many books by Grace Duncan, and her flights of fantasy have taken me down many paths. As a reviewer I am exposed to all writings, and I must confess two things prior to writing this review…..#1 I am an mpreg virgin and #2 this simple story is such a delightful change from what I expected! (In a good way!)
We are in a contemporary setting, Chicago, where humans and shifters live in harmony. Liam and Mason are wolf shifters. They work for the same company, not at the same level. Liam is in the accounting department and Mason is the CFO. Liam is an Omega shifter capable of having babies. Mason is an Alpha, capable of impregnating an Omega. A new world for me to learn, opening up the many questions of ‘mates and forever’ that I have had. Liam’s Dad was also an Omega and was mated to someone who broke the mating bond and left them to have one parent raise the child. Liam has trust issues big time.
Evidently, males go thru a heat cycle, and take medication to not throw off pheromones to another male. Liam is given some other medication and by morning he is in heat. He will take a few days off, as not to have the many males in the building follow him like the wolf in heat he is. He is just going to go up to Mason’s office and drop of the last report.
You got it babe….broad daylight on the desk!
We start the relationship backwards, sex first dinner later but this charming love story is just that, a charming sexy, un-angsty loves story. Clearly readers of this author will smile, as quiet is not Grace’s middle name, but a great change of pace.
This really and truly is a romantic and sweet story! There aren’t two words more apt to describing this story. In this world, the author has created a universe where humans and shifters live amongst each other. Omega wolves, both male and female, can get pregnant. So, I took a moment and tried to picture a world where men walked around pregnant and kind of found that to be interesting.
In this case Liam is an omega and he works in a firm. He takes suppressants so that he can’t go into heat and therefore become pregnant. Of course something goes wrong he has side effect and well… I don’t want to tell you all the little adorable secrets this tale holds.
Mason is the CFO for the company Liam works for, and he’s an alpha. I loved how this all worked itself out. Mason, even before Liam goes into heat, had his eye on him. So, this whole thing was pure perfection for him.
So much in Liam’s past holds him back from saying those three magic words. So, we sit back and watch these two love all over each other! Frustrated because they are both beyond stubborn. But it’s beautiful. Mason dotes on Liam like he’s the second coming and Liam works so hard with the trust part.
There really is minimal conflict in this story. A bump here and there but mostly it’s a smooth, warm, homemade apple pie kind of feeling, book. If that makes sense. I smiled through so much of it and I tell you, when it ended I thought Liam deserved an award… you’ll see.
All in all, this is a truly good feeling shifter/mpreg book. These guys are fabulous together. The secondary characters ore true godsends and added a wonderful layer to this story. Lovely.
OMG. Finally a paranormal story that holds so much more than the usual Uber-alpha mates twink and fights evil. I wanted book 2 by the end of the first chapter as it just sucked me in. Shifters with normal shifter abilities, but a wonderfully sweet and entertaining contemporary storyline. This goes on my reread list.
Rating 3.5 stars. Really there was nothing spectacular about this book. I really liked the characters. Both Mason and Liam were wonderful. It was an enjoyable read. It's just that nothing much happened. It was a light read with little angst and what conflict there was good have been resolved by the two MCs talking to each other. I did like the epilogue at the end, even it was a bit unbelievable. If you don't like mpreg than stay away because that is the main focus of the book. Otherwise, I recommend it if you want a light read with little conflict.
